영상은 아버지 '사도세자'에 대한 효심으로 수원이라는 도시를 만든 정조의 이야기를 담고 있다. 정조의 시점으로 과거-현재-미래가 구성되어있다. 어린시절 정조가 겪은 고난과 시련에서부터, 이를 극복하고 아버지에 대한 효심으로 수원화성이 계획된 이야기를 담고 있다. 이후, 근현대사의 시련과 어려움(일제강점기/한국전쟁)을 이겨내어 정조가 꿈꾸는 미래(현시대 우리들의 현재와 함께 맞이할 미래)를 담은 이번 작품 속에서는 건축물의 구조를 영상의 다양한 표현방법으로 보여주고 있다. 작품 속 등장하는 패턴은 한국 문양의 이미지들을 활용하여 '대칭과 반복의 반복'에 대한 알고리즘으로 표현되었다.

The video contains the story of King Jeongjo, the king of Joseon who made Suwon a city of filial piety. The video consists of a time sequence (past-present-future) viewed from the point of 'jeongjo'. The story begins with the sufferings and trials of Jeongjo when he was a child, and overcomes them and builds Suwon Hwaseong as a filial piety of his father. Since then, through the trials and difficulties of modern and contemporary history, the future dreamed of by Jeongjo is showing our present and future. This work, a media facade, shows the beauty of Suwon Hwaseong Hwahongmun, a World Heritage site, through various visual techniques. The patterns appearing in the works were expressed by the algorithm of 'symmetry and repetition' using images of Korean patterns.
